Hi all,   Glad everything seems to be moving in the right direction and the negative reports are definatley becoming less aparent.  I am coming out tomorrow (26th March ) to complete on Phase 1.  Successfully managed to delay completion until then...which has not been easy.  Can anyone confirm if 26th, 27th &28th are National Holidays in Spain??  Also I would really like to meet somebody on the resort on 27th or 28th March who are running key holding services...If someone is interested in meeting to discuss this please contact me to arrange a time and a place to discuss this opportunity.  Thanks.

I had a meeting with a Director from Polaris world on Tuesday at the head office in SPAIN.  They have not started the building works for the Hacienda yet and will not be until at least December 07 (probably more like Feb 08).  This is due to the plans being knocked back by the town hall.  This revolves around the problem of renovating the old building, so Polaris world re-submitted the plans as two seperate projects...one to renovate the hacienda and the second for the new buildings...these have also been knocked back!!!!

They are re-submitting the plans again...but only in the same way as they were knocked back before????  They are trying to bully the town hall into letting construction start which is not proving as easy as they originally thought.  You will be looking at least at Dec 08 for it to be finished...if it is ever started....this means you will have to put up with temporary facilities like El Valle (which is basically a large shed with a tappas bar..WOW)

I am on phase 1 and have a comp date of end of NOV...but trust me I will be delaying this for as long as possoble to minimise the time without facilities...I will not complete until the hacienda has at least been started!!!!  Be aware that you maybe completing in Oct/Nov before the agreement has been reached on the town centre!!!

This is not pie in the sky...I met with my business partner and the Director from Polaris world for over two hours a couple of days ago.

Hi,

   If you could send me the form (214 I think) I would be very grateful indeed.  I have read various messages now on tax and if I am honest it sounds rather complicated, well certainly more than I thought it would be.  I have recently bought a property on Polaris resort Hacienda Riquelme.  Exactly what taxes will I be liable for when I sign for the property in approx. March/April??

 

If you can help I would be grateful and will check for replies!!

Thats good news, thanks for the update as I was a bit concerned about the noise etc...  Apparently they are commencing building works on the Haccienda in the next few weeks....

Hello everyone, I hope I am following the correct process here as this is the first message I have posted. 

I returned back from the site on the 1st November and thought I would post a few points.  The site is looking really good and is a good contrast to La Torre which I also visited.  At La Torre you can view two show appartments which are pretty much a replica of the buildings at H/R.  The finish inside was good, but a detailed snagging list would be advisable as I did notice a few areas of average workmanship.  Its quite hard to get close to H/R as there is now a marketind suite situated at the top of the site.  Phase 1 should be done by March 2007, but I think they will do well to get this completed by then.

The Haccienda looks like it has not even been started yet and a date was mentioned for completion by Dec 2007.....I did not ask about the train line and how busy it would be so please feel free to highlight any detail on this if you have it.

We had lunch at La Torre and I can say that the clubhouse etc is really nice and is finished to a high standard.  The back nine holes open today for playing (2nd Nov) with the front nine a few months away. 

The golf course at H/R seems further on but I would say that they still seem to have a long way to go.
