Both Hichy and thug are right no one cares, and why should they if it dosen't affect them,it''s not exactly up there with war and famine. If you were not involved in any way would you give it a second thought, of course you wouldn't and there is the problem.
The Spanish media are inundated on a daily basis with news of some property scandal or another so why should ACC be a special case?
The English media have no influence, showing a TV programme will only make people shake their heads and maybe make them more cautious when buying overseas but it won't help.
I have got the majority of my money back, I only have the deposit and interests (maybe) to be returned so obviously I am not in the position of most of you anymore but I am still very angry that Huma are getting away with this.
I agree with thug in so much as some form of protest is the only way of perhaps making some sort of headway . Personally,I don't think invisible protests are much use, and by that I mean emails, letters to MP's etc,people read them and forget them. Everyone,the media, the British Government, the Spanish Government, the EU are all aware of the problems and all are impotent. To be fair, the Spanish Government are trying to deal with the problems but there is so much corruption going on it will take them years to sort it all out. As for the EU they are also trying but there machine is so bureaucratic and slow, that will also take years.
So that leaves ourselves, the sooner everyone wakes up to this fact and stops hoping for some divine intervention the better, but that also has it'sown set of problems.
Hundreds of people have hundreds of different ideas.My own personal ideas are staging a peaceful demonstration outside Humas offices at Oasis over a time.One day would be useless, it would take some time for them to cave in and that would mean people committing and a huge logistical effort, but the only way to hurt these people is in their pocket. What success would they have in selling anything at that site with angry demonstators nearby.
Any budding Obamas out there ready to take on the challenge?

After having my BG refunded and having a long conversation with my lawyer I have decided to go to court for the return of my deposit,and also  interest on 64000 Euros, plus legal costs and compensation. As it was always my intention to live at ACC once it was finished I instead have had to rent  in Spain so have been advised to ask for amounts of rent that have been paid.

Contrary to what I thought Huma Mediterraneo have very little in the way of assets according to lawyer. It is Huma Indalo, their sister company who hold most of them and therefore he says as HM have ignored all approaches by us for contract cancellation over the last 18 months we are entitled to go after the assets of Huma Indalo also. He said he is very optimistic of a positive outcome if we take this approach as legally we are certaintly  legally entitled to interests and return of deposit.On the question of  the compensation apparently it is not cut and dried,depends on the judge,as this is not a legal requirement. I can't pretend to know the set up between the 2 companies as according to lawyer it is complex but he assures me Indalo have the money and assets,

At long last I have my 61,000 Euros refunded from CajaMurcia. It cost 1300 to cancel with Huma and execute Bank Guarantee and all in all it has taken 15 months. I didn't get interest or initial deposit of 3000 Euros and I have to let my solicitor know what I want to do . He says he will also ask for compensation. Trouble is my heart says I don't want Huma to get away with what they still owe me or they will continue to act in a contemptible manner toward other buyers as long as they keep getting away with it. On the other hand my head says what are the chances of me actually getting anything back in this current climate, there is too much uncertainty out there for people to buy at OCC and ACC ( if it ever gets the go ahead) Some long and serious thought is going to be needed and I will let you know what I decide.
I have been in touch with Maria De Castro and she has been helpful, and I guess I shall seek her opinion on this one, she is one clued up lady and is not afraid to go head to head with the big guys and if I do decide to go ahead I will ask her to represent me.

Had a call from my solicitor yeterday saying CajaMurcia will refund my stage payment when they receive my signature on authorisation form. He says it should be in my account by Tuesday at the latest and to call him as soon as I receive it, because in his words and I quote"I will not send them the BG until the money is safely in your account because I do not trust anyone anymore". that just about says it all. No one trusts anyone, there is no faith in the law even the police act with impunity. Some friends of mine in Mijas actually saw the police letting down the tyres of English plated cars. He took pictures on his phone to show us. He knew it would be a waste of time trying to do anything about it as the police would find a way of causing him trouble.
The only people who are truly going to change things are ourselves. Corruption is a way of life in Spain and there is little hope of it changing in the near future, even though there are one or two brave individuals trying to do so. Our MEP'S know what is going on but are powerless to do anything about it. The only thing that is going to work is people power, and with the majority of people in the Off Plan scenario being British I can't see that happening either. We are very good at complaining ,but apathetic when it comes to  actually doing something about it. The only things I can see working is something like camping outside the Ministry of Justice for as long as it takes, or mass peaceful demonstrations and it would have to be,something that the outside media will pick up on. You now all think I have gone stark raving bonkers, or that I am a  member of the loony left, but you couldn't be further from the truth.I know my fight appears to be almost over and I suppose it has taken away the fear factor of not rocking the boat ,but this has not lessened my anger and frustration at the way ,not just us at ACC, but the many other thousands that are caught up in the mess of the Spanish Construction Industry. So in answer to your question trudge, the only people who are going to help us, is ourselves
