Did  you all (owners) receive your bills for the past three years for rates and rubbish collection-almost 1000 Euros? We got quite a shock when the two officials arrived at the door when we were over for a few days this week. I called at the town hall in La Cala to find out more and discovered the bill must be paid in full by April 5th! Not only that but a new one for 2010 is still to be issued.

Cleaned out our flooded store and I do hope that it stays dry now that we have returned home

One more query, any advice about the best way to get contents insurance-what insurance provider would you suggest?

Just saw the news that Eva Marina are bankrupt and that there is a large defecit on community fees income. Do these combine to become a cause for serious concern? What liability do we have over fees due on properties not sold, and on fees not paid?

Any views?
