Mandy and I will be coming to Almoradi next Thursday (27th) for a couple of days....can't wait, it seems like we have been away from Igfama for ever.  Whats the weather like at the moment?

We have bought a VW camper van and we are hoping to drive over sometime........god knows if it will make it - its a 1976 - so we might end up stranded in France.  We are planning the route but as the camper only goes 65 mph max - we could be sometime......we will probably leave this road trip until March/April though

Doesn't work get in the way of life haha

Hi All,

Hope all is well in Almoradi?  We haven't made it over since February as we have just moved and got a new puppy - so we felt bad leaving her.

Anyway Mandy's daughter and friend arrived on Friday 17th August and are staying for a week.

We will be coming over on 27th September for a few days, followed by my mum and friends on 2nd October for two weeks.

We will be back over with my aunt and uncle on 1st November for a few days also.

I am desperate for any news from Almoradi - any new people moved in?  Anything exciting happening?

We are thinking of driving over and bringing the dog sometime?  Has anyone done this?  Whats it like?

Looking forward to hearing from anyone at Igfama.

HI All,

Richard from Palmera told me that all the flats were sold, this was back in July 06.  I bumped into him showing some people around and they were keen to buy but when he rang to check what was available he was told they were all sold.

I think a few of the flats were sold to the same person (from what I remember) - maybe they are planning to sell them on?  Sorry to be vague but this was a conversation which was from my balcony to the street - so just short and sweet!

We are off to Almoradi on Thursday for a week - seems like ages since we've been over.  Caught a nasty bug on the last day we were in Almoradi - not the sort of thing you hope to bring back off holiday!

Hope there will be electricity when we arrive........luckily we are arriving in the daytime so no struggling in the dark!

I can't believe it will be 1 year in April since we got the keys to Igfama - the time has gone so quick!

Hi All,

Christmas in Almoradi was great! Very peaceful.  There was a race for both children and adults through the square on Christmas Eve and a huge model of bible stories.  As well as some locals singing in the square.

All is fine with Igfama........no one else appears to have moved in and it was very quiet.

I do think there is a problem with the electrics though - The main box was tripping about 6 or 7 times every day and we were up and down the stairs like yo-yo's.   I have no idea whats tripping it and flicking the switch outside does work.....but I wonder what it will be like when there are lots of people staying living there because its obviously not right.

Maybe we should get some emergency numbers put up by the post boxes?

We also noticed that we had a leak in our kitchen - nothing too serious luckily - the builders have not sealed the sink unit - just stuck a bit of glue around it - so water was running into the cupboard.

We are going back in February for a week - can't wait!

p.s  Does anyone have a digibox hooked up yet?  We tried one but could only get Spanish channels - apparently we have to move the aerial as its facing the wrong direction.   I missed being able to get the news!
