Hi everyone,
we got back from Spain last night just a quick update on Jumilla, no change except another gateway has been built.
We met with our agents at San Jose office in Orihuelia where we spoke to Pilar this is what we were told . The delay is San Jose had to own all the land to build the project, they purchased all the land except one farm which the owner kept accepting the offer then wanting more money, this has gone on and on and on so they have got the council to put a compulsory purchase order on the land and now the council have valued the land and San Jose purchased it, this held up the up -build license with the town hall, they are now waiting for this to be processed but can not give an exact date as its in the councils hands, there is no dispute with the council as to the size of the project or anything else in fact the council give a probationary license to build the foundations, entrances and part of the golf course which is the stage we are at now, .they stressed there is no plans and never has been to change the size of the project , two golf courses e.t.c
Bank guarantees are to be given when the licenses are through , this is a legal requirement, the banks need the license before they issue the guarantee
If you wish, you can move your deposit to another San Jose project like Playa golf which is key ready - obviously there is extra charge as they are more expensive.
we were told a team of builders are still being paid and are on standby to move back to Santa Ana as soon as they get the go ahead
We were Quite happy with the explanation, and feel a lot better hearing it from the horses mouth so to speak it is a fantastic location, the best we have visited on our trip so we are going to wait it out, we visited dozens of San Jose housing developments which are up and running, they are a massive massive company, hopefully this is just a Hick up
Hope this has been some help ,
