I saw the condadoexcursions advertised on this page and felt I had to reply to let those who have not used them previously, how briliant they were while we stayed at Condado without our own car.

We used them a few times to go shopping and on a tour and I would highly recommend them. There is no doubt that I will use them in future.

David the driver was most helpful and actually came into the supermarket to help me with my packing, Thank you very much to Condadoexcursions.

What time of the year are the flies most prolific and are there any mozzies around?

Thank  to David Ingram Condado Taxi Excursion for the excellent service he gave us while we were at Condado last week.

He was prompt helpful and I would have no hesitation in using his services in future. He even came into the supermarket twice and helped me to pack my shopping and carried it to our apartment, it was service beyond what the cost was.

He took another couple and I to see the statue of Christ and the Monastry where we had a lovely four course lunch at a reasonable price and he did not rush us at any time. We all had a lovely day.

If a Spaniard or any other nationality moved next door to me I would be only too happy to help them in any way I could.

I live in the Welsh speaking area of Wales and often have such problems occuring when there is a language barrier, my sister has Turkish neighbours who are lovely friends by now and she teaches the children Welsh, the Mother had zero knowledge of English or Welsh but they managed to become friends and understand each other, now the children are their translators,

I did not mean that the Spanish authority should make the emergency numbers available but the English speakers (of any nationality) who are helpful might want to publish emergency numbers on a blog such as `eye on Spain`

Thanks for the information it is appreciated.

I have the details but thought that many newcomers/holidays  might be glad to have emergency numbers available from those who live in the area and have local knowledge and might have been in need of emergency help themeselves when they first moved to Condado.

When an emergency occurs it is hard to think in English let alone a language one does not speak fluently.

As a fluent Welsh speaker and a basic  knowledge of Italian I know how hard it is for many people to learn a language especially as one is getting older, in an ideal world it would be great if everyone who moves to a foreign country would have speaking knowledge of the language of the country, but I believe that is Utopia.
