Hello

I have the misforfune to have a property at Marina Dor that is let through Alexander Homes. We understand the occupier of our apartment is a manager with Marina Dor and he's happy and wants to stay put. Sound great but Alexander Homes don't pass the money on and we are finalising legal action against them in the UK. However, it is our understanding that we can serve/issue a denouce and this will basically give the occupier notice to vacate.

Can anyone advise best practice/how to action this.

Hi reader,

I am listing this to warn anyone attempting to locate a lettings/management agent at Marina D'or and to WARN you the reader against ALEXANDER HOMES - This not sour grapes but a genuine warning!

We have two apartments, Aguamarina and Vistamar 3, both let with Alexander Homes from Sept and October.  These guys are UK based with an office at Marina D'or but despite rental income from Sept and Oct these guys simply don't forward any rent, this despite verbal confirmations and rental agreements, the latter a waste of paper.

I am aware of others letting through Alexander who also have received no rental income, one back to July!

I cannot stress enough what a bad experience we are enduring but we now have deadlines in place pending legal action. 

IF YOU ARE IN THE SAME SITUATION AND WANT TO PURSUE A JOINT ACTION THEN PLEASE CONTACT ME.  If you want to let your apartment then my advice is to forget Alexander homes, even in the adsence of an alternative other than Marina D'or.

Feel free to contact me with thoughts, advice, info, etc.

If this situation changes with Alexander Homes then I will update this thread, this positive or negative.

Hi Folks,

It appears that my partner and I have too been sucked into buying at MD by MacRealty on the premise of guaranteed rents to meet mortgage payments, demand to sell on upon completion, etc, etc.

We too wonder how many Brits have purchased at this very Spainish resort and how much of this initial development is still to build?

We can see the vision at MD and think it will represent a good investment in the long term and if borrowing is low. It appears most have invested to sell upon completion and now mortgages are killing the whole deal. 

We would appreciated others thoughts on who they are renting with and what plan they may have in the longer term also does any aftermarket sales exist, anyone sold on or know of anyone?.

We purchased 2 units, Aquamarina & Vistamar 3 and feel totally manipulated by MRealty and claims of MD.

Would welcome any input.
