There are lots of companies offering a similar service to the one promised by OVP Travel.  I have been looking around and have been impressed with www.individualtravellers.com

Nice glossy brochues without the headache of dealing with OVP

Just got back from Spain to check out options and took a look at the GOM site as this is being offered as one of my options. Armed with the sales 'bumph' trundled up there only to find that the aprtments that have been sold as 2 bed 2 bath have actually only got 1 bath. No sign of the cute little spa pools inbetween blocks. No indication that the leisure complex will ever be built! Can anyone clear this up for me as O V P obviously arent willing to

Cheers

Simon

British and Spanish real estate companies face each other in Málaga Court
By h.b. - May 18, 2006 - 4:31 PM

The court is hearing an arguement between British company, Ocean View Properties, and Spanish company Aifos
A British company, Ocean View Properties, has started legal action in Instruction Court 3 in Málaga against a Spanish real estate company Aifos, on charges of fraud. The case relates to the purchase of at least 166 off plan homes on the Costa del Sol between 2001 and 2003.

Ocean View claims that Aifos sold properties without construction licences and sometimes when even the ownership of the land was in doubt. They are reclaiming 20 million € in compensation. However Aifos claims that it was Ocean View who engaged in misleading advertising and fraud in their attempts to sell the properties, offering their clients incorrect information on the legalities of certain developments.

Among the developments implicated in the case is the Colinas de Estepona, Calahonda Hills, and Balcones. Most of the sales were to British purchasers, and construction has never started at any of the sites.
