Can recommend Paul & Chriss Killinger who run Torre Property Services (www.torrepropertyservices.com) - not necessarily so great in terms of getting you rentals (we do most of our own marketing) but very good in terms of meeting / greeting customers, cleaning property and undertaking maintenance, etc.

They live very close to DH2 and I think now have about 5 properties on the urb - they are long-standing friends of ours but I know that other owners with no vested interest ahve also been very impressed.

We are with Easy insurance - just do a google search and you'll get their website and office details. They have not far from DH2 but I managed to do it all over the phone anyway. Think it was only about 80 euros for contents, didn't take out buildings as well as for the first 3 years that comes in with the package from the Builders but I know some have taken it out as an addtion and still think it came to about 120-130 euros - much cheaper than home that's for sure!

Anyone know what is happening to the current Murcia Airport when the new one opens (next year?)?

For that matter, does anyone know where the new airport is going to be exactly - San Javier is great being just 20 mins, assuming the old one will be closed (seems a shame after all the changes have made in last year or so) hope the new one is not too much further away.

After months of perseverance (we completed Dec 06), finally seem to be getting some of the jobs done and allegedly everything will be done by tomorrow - I'll believe it when I see it, well when the people managing the property for us see it to be precise!

Nagging is the only way I'm afraid so be prepared to do it otherwise you'll get nowhere.

You may also have to be realistic about what they do / don't do - there are jobs in ours which were not negotiable and they had to do but others you are probably better sorting yourself in one way or another as you'll be waiting a very long time and in the end the time, effort and maybe cost of chasing them to do it is more than just fixing.

Our apartment (top-floor) is available to rent if anyone wants to stop on DH2 when coming over to complete - we've already had 3 parties in this situation do this and they've found being on-site both convenient and actually quite an insight stopping in a property that is already finsihed and furnished as gives good idea what need to get for own.
