Hi Steve

Nice to hear from you. We also have property in block 9 (091A), maybe we are above you!

We were out there in November last and visited the site but nothing yet on the island complex although the other parts of the develpment are progrssing.

We will be out there agin first week in April also to get NIE.  If there is any news or pics we will post them on this forum.

understand it is possible to get NIE in UK either via Spanish Consulate or you can alos get it using a proxy and using a fee charging service. However can't think of a better reason to have a extra holiday.

You are right about the Euro rate, slightly worrying what with the possible collapse of the UK house market, etc, etc. Still we are at least two years away from takking possession so who knows what the world will be like then?

Take care

Kindest reagrds

Hi Anne & Gordon

Great to hear from you.

We were out there in November and visited the site. Some progress is visible but as you are probably aware the site security means you can only see from the viewing platform. Form there you can't see the area of the lake as it is over a hill.

The external roads are now there with the 500 or so palm trees. I believe the first phase of the gardens has now been realeased and you can see them from the external road. You can also see the front-line apartments on the hill. Otherwise not much to see unfortunately.

We will be out again in the first week of April mainly to do the paperwork for the Spanish registration (NIE number) but we will again visit the site but not expecting to see much progress as far as the lake is concerned. Initially (last summer) Polaris said they would start the lake area by the end of 2007 but I guess that was optimistic.

I will post any info that I have on this site.

Regards

Trevor & Tuyen Weaver

Hi Nickal (not sure that is your name)

Nice to hear from you.

Yes block 10 looks good, in fact they all do. We have one in Block 9 (ground floor southern end) I guess looking towards the town. Friends of ours bought in Block 11. By the time we came into this there were only 19 units left so we had a very limited choice.

We were out there again last week and actually went to the site. The first time we went we never actually visited the site just bought on spec.

The site looks great and there are signs of progress with some apartments being ready early next year. The grand avenues have been laid out with literally hundreds of giant palms. I am sure it will look exactly like the brochure as Polaris have in the past replicated what they promised. Just two years (or maybe more) to wait, seems a long time off, but I am sure worth the wait.

We live in Southampton, where are you?

Kindest regards

Trevor & Tuyen

We are new-comers to EyeOnSpain but having browsed through the message threads it appears to be an invaluable source of information for anyone considering buying property in Spain.

We have just reserved an apartment on La Isla del Condado. We were immediately captivated by the thought of living on an island.  We considered that this PolarisWorld development would buck the current downward trend of properties in Spain. Coupled with this is the speed in which the properties sold.......basically all 390 in about 2 months. Seems many others feel as we do. Of course buying off-plan has the downside that it won't be ready for at least 2 years (possibly more).

Surprisingly we have seen nothing about PolarisWorld in the message threads!  We would have expected to have seen something given the size of their developments in Murcia. So we hope to meet other buyers on La Isla in this forum.

Keep up the good work EOS.

regards to you all

Trevor and Tuyen (Southampton UK)
