Just recieved an update from Corvera re Sports Facilities - plans, pictures etc.

Cant seem to get it to paste on here so if you want to PM me i will get a copy over to you.

I did not remember to ask about the rest of the facilities -   I think they will come along as things progress - the Hotel/ Spa will be the last to go up as I remember

him saying something along those lines. He did say that everything would be finished for 2012........ 

Mr Unhappy - I think  the confusion was something to do with my poor cut and pasteing !!!   The "along with the first completions" bit should be the start of the the paragraph

that begins with ( approx April/May 2009) sorry for the confusion -!!!

Hi Everyone,

I received this e-mail from Corvera yesterday,after a telephone conversation I had - and asked to have it in writing by e-mail,which gives a little bit of assurance, Pablo also assures me  that 'Calendonia' as a group have no financial worries, and no bank loans - and that everything is progressing well.They have sold 1200 of the 1800 planned and this is quite normal as they do tend to sell the remainder on completion. I have removed the first part of the e-mail for personal reasons. I hope this eases some worries that we have........

 

As I've told on the phone everything goes according to the plan. The construction of phases 1 & 2 is coming along nicely and quickly. As you know the golf course was started a while ago and it's all coming into place. The golf course will be seeded soon and will then need several months for maturing before it can be playable. We estimate this will happen at the end of 2009.

Along with the first completions

With the opening of the golf course we will open a fantastic clubhouse with the usual installations like a golf store, changing rooms, a quality restaurant and a bar with large terraces which will be big enough for all the house owners for the first phases. As well there will be a practice area available with the latest technology in golf. Together with the opening of the club house we will open as well a convenience shop where you will be able to buy your basic need products. We will open more restaurants, bars and shops progressively with the time.

(approx. April/May 2009) we will have already the following sport installations available: padel-tennis courts, tennis courts and sports fields. Remember that with the apartments there will be communal swimming pools and gardens as well.

Hi All,

I've just had a call from my contact in Spain - who went to Corvera today for me. The latest news is that they have 36 cranes on site, ready to go. They are employing up to 1,000 workers to speed things up. The Commercial Centre, phases 1&2 and the golf course wil be completed at the same time estimated April/May 2009 with the hotel (which will now be around 140 rooms) and the rest completing by the end of 2009, ready in line with the airport.

The best bit of news is that they now HAVE the signatures required to begin !!!!

I will contact the site tomorrow to see when we will get this in writing - as we all know things seem to constantly change.

Hope this is the Good News we have all been waiting for ......
