I have been trying to claim jsa since i came over to spain 2 weeks ago looking for work,and even though i sorted things out in the uk at the jobcentre plus and i was assured by the rubbish staff in the uk i did everything right before i left but i still cannot get jsa because of 2 factors 1 no one in the jsa office knows what the rules are and keep giving you the run around when call them from spain and there is very little support from them in my opinion..2 the spanish job centre staff know zilch about jsa and have not been informed of our rules for claiming it in there country and none speak or want to speak any english to help you..pero hablo un poco de espanol.,..im sure members of the eu when applying in england for benefits etc would get someone from the translation dept to help them etc..saludos
