Hi,

When the bloke from Endesa came to switch the electric on, the fuse box tripped and he told me that there probably was some dampness in the system but that it should dry up. After that I went ahead and installed the kitchen, alarm system, and air cons. It was all done like within a week. I still was having problems after everything was installed so I called promaga. They came and then told me that it was something that I just installed and that there was nothing wrong with the system. After 2 weeks of arguing and rechecking everything that was installed the problem was solved. Now one year later to the day I am having 3 to 4 cuts a day, and I am not the only one in the block (114). Promaga and the construction company say its my problem, so now I have to get an electrical engineer at my expense to try and source the proble out. With the dampness, just a visual inspection is not good enough. As i sais before they have put blowers in dried them out and painted them so they look ok. You need to test the walls.

Regards

Tony

Hi All,

For those of you who have not yet signed on the dotted line............The builders guarantee is a joke, once you sign very little gets done afterwards. My house has damp problems, electrical problems, lose tiles, etc and they wont respond. Even the entrance to the building needs sorting out and we are still waiting 1 year later. On phases 3 & 4 I have seen flats with severe damp problems this winter, and they have just used blowers to dry them up and a fresh coat of paint so beware next winter. Make sure you check the walls for dampness. There are testers in the market you can buy for as little as £20 and they will save you a lot of headaches in the future. WHATEVER needs to be done, make SURE they do it BEFORE you sign. Promaga seems to be going bankrupt so all these guarantees wont be worth anything soon. If anybody want proof or tells you different, have a friendly chat any time with some of us who have been here for a year.

I appologise for the negative note, but I also bought this flat 5 years ago and was really looking forward to living here. I love the place but hate the workmanship and how they treat you once they have your money.

Regards

Tony
