What a pity your solicitor did not tell you about the water meters. We were put on meters on 16th December.  Electric meters are due at the end of March, but I don't have an actual date yet.

Don't know where you got the info about a toll road access from our site. On the Benahavis city plans it is a bridge. There is no sign of a slip road access to the toll road below. The bridge is meant to be finished in March and from the look of it that is quite possible. Each day when I drive by it a bit more has been added, last week the middle structures were put up. I will keep you posted as to progress.

I live in the apartment above you, I am the only one in the building. I furnished mine by bringing some things over from the UK and the removals people brought a  lot of my things. Also there is a place close by selling second hand, I bought a few things there, the rest I bought new at various shops.  Much cheaper than the "packages" if you do it yourself. Mind you, as a full time resident I wanted things that suited me personally and things that I could live with rather than something chosen by a shop assistant. Also I have noticed that the apartments furnished by the package people all look the same - the furniture is all the same and the pictures on the walls are all the same in all those apartments. Yuk.

When are you coming out for a visit ?

All my gear has been moved over to Spain now, my cat arrives next week and I am there permanently at last. Hooray. It is such a lovely place to live and I am so looking forward to my new life there and meeting more of you as you come over for  visits

Ha !!  September 06 ??  When I bought, the estimate was June 06.  My lawyer speaks to Victor Sanchez every week and meets with him every Thursday, so it is possible. I am surprised that you have not yet been pressured into completing. The site is really lovely and a joy to be at (most of the time anyway). I am not sure that Victor is president of the association. He has formed a company for the management of the community, but as there is no community formed yet, there is nothing to be president of. The holding company has our first community fees in a trust account, according to my lawyer. You are right though, it can be very confusing and depending on who you speak to, there are various "truths" told, or not told. Ana continues to deny any knowledge of the new bridge which is being built right under her nose. It is clear to see from the access road to La Hacienda. When I was there in November I actually saw the plans for the new road system for the area.

Bear in mind that there is NO amenity lighting at the middle to upper part of the complex so walking about in the evening is impossible.
