Thanks Donna and Andy! We are so excited to find you all and as you say, to be able to chat before meeting. We have managed to find somewhere to rent in the town - one of the se alquila signs in the town paid off and we move in on 23rd July! So, if any of you are out there then, then Please let us know so that we can meet up.

Another question re renting. Is anyone interested in weekly rents? We will have family and friends coming out to visit us and would be good to know if we could recomend your apartments as they are so lovely and would be very suitable!

Thanks very much for your advice James/Jo and Carol/Danny! My Mum (who lives closer to Torrevieja) hit the town of Cox for us today searching for any Se Alquiler signs and has found a couple, so we are hopeful that we might find something in the town! If not then the surrounding towns it'll have to be! Anyway, whilst my Mum was enjoying the customary glass of Vino Tinto in the town square, she saw an English couple doing the same so introduced herself and it turns out that they are living in the Mirador apartments (Jill, partner/husband and daughter Jess)! I've looked through the threads and can't find them so if anyone knows them or if you are reading this then just thought I'd say hi and thanks so much for showing my Mum around the apartments!!

Hi All!

Thought we'd introduce ourselves as we are moving to Cox in July this year (see our thread about needing a place to rent!!) and are so excited to find this site and the fact that more English people are moving to the town! Up until finding all of you, we were aware of only a handful of English people (including Patrick Vine and his family who we met back in March when we visited) living in the town! 

We have decided to make the big move away from the rain and escalating costs etc etc etc to find a better life in the sun for us and our two boys. We're buying one of the houses that are currently being built in the San Fernando area but it won't be ready for another 8-12months and are soo struggling to find somewhere to rent in the meantime. It seems that no-one rents in Cox!! And I guess from reading all of your messages and the fact that we've received no response to our thread 'we are looking to rent in Cox' that none of you are interested either?!! Do you have any other ideas for us? 

Would love to meet up with you when we finally arrive in July (although it is only 6wks away, we have so much to do......haven't quite exchanged on our house in England yet and haven't got anyway to move to in Cox yet....am sure it will all fall into place at the last minute!)

Hi All

We are moving to Spain in July this year (23rd to be exact!) and need to rent an apartment in Cox for up to a year whilst our house is being built (just along the mountain from the Mirador de la Vega ll). We have visited the Mirador apartments and therefore know their location and facilities and are very interested in renting here if anyone is looking for a long term let starting in July.
