Hi Beardso

12 euros per person return for buses and ferry.

Food was not cheap. For a family of 4 you are looking at E100 for the day out minimum.

Hi Beadso

The answer to your query is YES.

On my visit to the beach club last September I had a conversation with a local resident and he told me that they are allowed in but are not allowed access to the Pool area.

Dare I suggest that allowing locals access will be the only way that it can become profitable because relying on scant support from Roda residents would only result in closure.

My wife and I had a 55 seat bus to ourselves to take us along to the Club and we were the only Roda residents there in a grand total of 6.  The place needs filling up to create some atmosphere.

Just returned after enjoying 3 weeks of glorious sunshine. The course looks superb and it was nice to see progress being made on P4 apts.   I met up with Paul & Sue, the proprietors of the new shop and gave them some business each time I passed.  With regard to JORED who seems to think that we should have a 5 star supermarket, I am afraid that common sense must prevail.  Roda is a golf development  with very few permanent residents with the rest of us holiday makers visiting from time to time.  At no time except possibly August will the resort be awash with numbers.

Paul & Sue are very nice and friendly people and need our support. It would be suicidal for them to stock the shop with large amounts of food , most of which will have sell by dates.

So let us realise that this is only ever going to be a convenience store and give them as much support as we possibly can.

Remember what happened to the UK rural Post Office network - USE IT OR LOSE IT.

We have a booking for our apartment starting 14th july 2009 for 10 days from a good friend/work colleague of mine, who is looking for an apartment in close proximity for her sisters family to stay at the same time.

They would like a ground floor as close to block 62, phase 3a, as possible. Anyone interested please pm me with best possible price as being good friends, i have not charged a fortune. It is for 2 adults, a five year old, 2 year old and a baby.

Despite all the negatives at the moment it is nice to see that these friends have booked again this year after having such a fantastic holiday  last year. Maybe Roda isn't so bad after all !!!!!
