Dickmans Van Hire, would not recommend

We rented a car at Mercia St Javir early September and seemed to get a good deal through DO YOU DO SPAIN.  When we arrived at the van on the car park that acts as there office we were introduced to the insurance for glass, tyres etc and of course the mandatory full tank of fuel, take full, bring back empty. No refund policy.  Total 197 euro for 11 days.  Not such a cheap deal after all. 

After paying the insurance and fuel monies the car then arrived from some far off corner of the car park.  We had ordered a Golf but a Citroen appeared which was fair enough it was a Golf or similar. The problem was this car looked shabby.  A flat grey colour with no wheel trims and not even cleaned properly. Even Lieutenant Columbo would have turned his nose up at this one. We hid the car at our hotel it was the worst looking car on the car park  The car drove as bad as it looked and at low rev’s was mis firing.  All in all we consider this our worst hire car experience while on holiday.
