We completed the purchase of our apartment 2 years ago and requested the original  Escritura de Compraventa (title deed) as we paid for the property outright (no mortage)

Our lawyer sent us a copy and said that the original copy stays with the notary. We are really worried about whether this is correct, does anybody know?

We are completing this week.
We will be over in Spain the week commencing 27th October sorting out the furniture and snagging.
Don't know if anyone else has done any snagging but when we were out previousley we found that the back wall of our ground floor apartment was not fixed properley and was in danger of falling down on passers by.  Our apartment has the fancy lattice brickwork at the back not the filled in wall.  Mentioned this to Eli so hope that it is now sorted.  If anyone has this type of brickwork on there apartment (we noticed that it as also used on the penthouse aparments) it would be wise just to give your wall a shake just to check it is solid.
