OK, for start I should mention I'm not a permanent resident at La Recoleta and I visit my apartment for 3 weeks per year. I would imagine the permanent residents would be mostly interested and everybody else should consider it as it raises overall property value. 

 But to give you more detail on heater operating costs I googled on this and first one to pop out was www dot calyenty dot com

This particular heater is powered by electricity. Based on attached chart I calculated average yearly cost to be just around 10E / per day. The amount of course rises in winter and drops in summer. The cost chart was made for Costa Brava and pool 8m x 4m x 1.5m.

There are other solar based systems which could prove to be even more efficient but it requires further investigation.

I suppose the cost of operating a heating system wouldn't be as big if it was installed on a small one shallow pool used by kids. 

I think it would elevate overall property value if installed + imagine how great it would be to take a dive during winter.

What's your opinion on this ?
