The developer has given to me a completion date for the end of May.

I have been told to be in Malaga by that date to sign "legal documents", land registry, etc.

Has anybody else been adviced to go there, that date or another one?

How many people is still buying the apartment?  It would be good for all of us to know it.

In the act of signing, we also sign a contract with the company which will manage the complex (remember: this complex is for renting "not for living")

I would like to contact to those who are still buying to deal with this matter.  I don't want to go there and sign the contract that they offer us without knowing the terms of  the contract, before going there.  I suppose that lawers are working on it.

There are still many doubts about the apartments. but  I hope that in soon we all meet there, or at least those who will buy it. And the ones who cancelled and asked for the money, have their money back, after all this time (bad for all).

Thanks to all.
Gracias a todos.

One of the times that I spoke to the developers I heard something:

there are now (some months ago), about 80 apartments not sold, between the ones which have not been sold and the ones whose contracts were cancelled by the owners (and they asked for the money).

This mean that maybe there are only 60 sold, or even less because more people have cancelled.

For those who asked for the money, the question is:    will be there enough money to pay back to the people who cancelled and asked for the money?

REMEMBER: THEY HAVE NOT EVEN AN EURO NOW. THEY WILL HAVE MONEY WHEN THEY SELL THE APARTMENTS.

I am not sure yet if I want to buy it or cancel and ask for the money.

greetings to all.

For those who are still buying the apartment, remember that I live near there in case you need any help.

Hello to everybody.

it is a long time now without any post in the forum, I supposse that we are all waiting for...    refunds, or completion time, etc.

I have not a lawer but I spoke to the "actual developer" and they say that all the "papers" are issued by them. Now its is time for Administraion to solve the legal issues, La Linea Town Hall, Junta de Andalucia, judge, etc.

What I know is that they will give the refunds back "when they have money".

¿when will they have money"

When the apartments are sold finally to the customer and they get some money.

When?

Nobody knows  2 months, 4, 6.

Another thing is that the area around has changed a lot. they are building more complexes around. Maybe some of you have visited the place.

a little joke: (for me it is very difficult to translate a joke into english)

some days ago I heard a conversation about computers and somebody said :     is that device "plug and play"?
and the other said :   no, it is "plug and pray".

I think that is what we can do:   PRAY

one of these forums, it is from May 2005.

http://www.lainmobiliaria.org/ftopict-1137.html

it is a bit long but...   for reading it in english:

1º copy this:      http://www.lainmobiliaria.org/ftopict-1137.html
2º go to   www. google.es
3º right side of the browser space click on "herramientas del idioma"
4º paste the text (http://www.lainmobiliaria.org/ftopict-1137.html) in the space named "Traducir una página Web:"
5º Choose "de español a ingles"
6º click on "Traduzca"

and now you can read it in english. The translation is not perfect but its is ok.

Hello to everybody.

"Anyway this is not the first apartment in Spain of this kind.... It can be solved to live in it."

Do you have any information on how this can be solved ?

There are a lot of apartments like this in Madrid. (TOURISTIC APARTMENTS).

I have read in another forums (in spanish), that a lot of people have been deceived with these apartments. High quality construction, pools, paddle courts, gym, gardens, etc for nearly the half or a third part of the normal price for a house. So a lot of young people decided to buy them. Their surprise came when they knew that it is a "touristic apartment".

They were deceived in the way that these apartments are not "for living in them". It is supposed that you have it for renting.

Of course many people went to ask for advice to a lawer.
These lawers or even the same developers who sold them the apartments said to them:

Ok, you can arrange with a company who works with rentings, that, for one month a year, you make a "fictious contract" for renting it to somebody, BUT YOU LIVE IN IT. Some owners asked: ¿what hapens if an inspector comes to check it?, and they said: There is not enough inspectors to check all the apartments. For the good and for the bad, this is spain.

But also, I have read that in Madrid (only in Madrid at the moment), the owners of these apartments have to become a "renting company" (because they bought a touristic apartment). Goverment made this because of the abuse. They said ¿what is the interest of a tourist apartment far away from the city, near a industrial estate, or near the airport?. The solution is that Developers "invented this way of construction, for selling later of course". Remember that these areas are not  predicted to built houses (for living in it). You can only buitl a hotel a Carrefour, a Lidl, a Decathlon, etc.......or a Touristic apartment. That is in spanish "suelo terciario". It is not "Suelo urbanizable" where it can be built houses. (You can tell your lawers to explain it better than me).

it is now a long time that I do not read these forums and I don´t know what happened and how it ended.

Sorry that I do not post new pictures of the complex, but it is nearly the same: it is all finished outside, I don´t know inside.

But for those who know the place, I have seen a lot of excavators and trucks working and cleaning the field towards the Tower, that means that they are going to built more complexes or hotels (wich are predicted for the area). Our complex is the first one, and it is "the gate" for the others. I think that´s good for ous.

Regards.
