Could anyone let me know if they have purchased/installed a hard drive recorder similar to Sky + in the UK that works with cable TV at Roda.

Hi to all Phase 4 owners

We have just returned from Roda and I report as follows. Phase 4a is coming on a treat now, they have had trouble with two lots of sub contract building companies 'going bust' but the builders now in situ are going well. They are rendering the apartments and were well impressed with how much they had progressed in the week we were there (returned 26 Feb) the electricians are also on site first fixing and presumably the plumbers also. The official date for completion is end of May 2010 but in our opinion it will be more like September 2010, but you will be ok to go swimming, the pools are all complete!

With regards to 4b this is another matter, it is just as it was three years ago when we paid our first large deposit, holes in the ground.  They can give no date whatsoever when the building work will start. We had a pre arranged meeting with our Solicitor and all I can say is that if you received a copy of the licence and it is dated January 2009 (as ours was) go and see your own Solicitors sooner rather than later.

Just a quick note on how we found the rest of Roda. We stayed on phase 1 and the gardens were looking good, I saw a gardener there everyday and the pool was cleaned out twice, looking very smart.  We had a walk round phase 2 and have to say thought there were quite a few areas that needed attention. Phase 3 also looked good.

Ate at the club house on a few occasions, once in the restaurant and three times in the bar. The restaurant food was excellent and the bar food was also very good, no complaints at all and the service was also great, it was also quite well attended.

It was also good to see the golf course was busy.

We also have bought on phase 4b (block 12) and they have definately got a licence for this block as we have a copy of it which we received earlier in the year when they offered us the four weeks 'free' apartment use and gave us the £3,000 card, which we cannot use until the apartment is finished (not yet started!). We keep getting told 'everything is on schedule' but no sign of it yet.

I would love to think that both your block (11) and ours (12) were under construction but I know when we left at the end of June there was absolutely nothing started on either of these. If you are getting in touch with the sales team in the near future would love to hear what they have to say.

Hi All

Up to block 8 is phase 4a where they are building at the moment, anything after that is phase 4b. When we were out there at the end of June, Vanessa in the sales office told us that 4a were ahead of schedule and would be handed over in March/April. We are in 4b and have to say after all we were told we are more than disappointed to hear that nothing has been started on 4b. We were sent a letter in January of this year stating that the Building Licence had been granted for our apartment which is block 12 and they also included a copy of the licences which were also dated January 2009 and the letter states that 'the property would be handed over eighteen months following receipt of the licence, therefore the latest date on which the property may be handed over is July 2010.' But I have to say now being half way through September that is looking very doubtful. We also signed up for the 'free' four weeks rental and the Client Card.

If anyone is going out there in the near future perhaps they could call in at the office and see if they can get any sense out of them.
