Is anyone seeking compensation for the delay in completing?

We signed up on R7 two years ago last April, we completed the snagging list in December and were advised we could complete at the end of January, we're still no further forward and have no idea when the completion date is likely to be.  The solicitor mentioned we may be entitled to compensation, but have received no figures to-date, and only excuses when the subject is brought up.  We'd like to know if anyone is in the same boat.
