Not sure what Block our apartment is in Phase 2. There are only 3 blocks in phase 2. It's the middle block of the 3 right next to the kidney shaped pool. We are fully tee'd up to complete, its just mortgage conditions with the bank (that they got wrong....even after discussing it for 12 months) which are holding matters up. Lawyers, wills, furniture etc is all in place. We are keeping fingers crossed that all completes this week. I dont like pushing but its because of the agreed rental.

I am planning on going out for a long weekend late June to tie up any loose ends and check the apartment over though at this rate I will be camping outside Cajasur.

I will check out the holidaylets.net site. At this stage it is not even about our own 2 week rental, but more saving face with our friends and giving them a lovely 2 week holiday to remember, as long as they get to stay somewhere in the Pinares De Mijas develpoment. If anyone else also has 2nd - 16th Jul rental availability please get in touch with me. Thanks.

Hello. Hoping someone on our Pinares de Mijas Forum can help us out. We are presently completing our apartment purchase in Phase 2, having bought off plan in 2006. On the final straight but delays are pushing the end date further back. Everthing is ready, furniture pack ready to install etc, apart from a the old chestnut of a few loose ends with Cajasur bank.

However we have friends coming out to stay on Thu 2nd July until Thu 16th Jul. We agreed the rental with them at the turn of the year when we were told everything would be ready by Mar09 at latest (oh how wrong we were !). Friends flights are booked. Big problem is I am not sure if we will have the keys for our apartment and have it furnished and habitable by 2nd july.

So can anyone advise me if they have their own apartment or know of anyone else in Pinares de Mijas (any phase) who has a furnished apartment available to rent for this exact fortnight. Alternatively even point me in the direction of a rental site where they have seen pinares properties advertised on would be good as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.
