Can anyone tell me what the health service is like, ie general gp's and how easy it is to get apppointments.  Or is it better  to take out private health cover with someone like Sanitas, or perhaps a better company could be recommended.  Any idea of price for 2 adults would be helpful.  Many thanx.

Hello we are looking to come to Spain end Jan/Feb for a month.  We're looking at Almeria where hopefully it will be warmer than the UK.  An apartment or villa with 2 beds, and a must have is a heated indoor or outdoor pool.  Must have south facing balcony if an apartment.  We have 2 lapdogs that literally sit on my lap all day, when outside they wander around together, they're brother and sister.  House trained and well behaved.  If you have something you think may interest us I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello does anyone have any idea of cremation costs in Spain?  Rather than going to the expense of flying a body home.  I am thinking ahead here as we're thinking of moving to Spain, and wanted to bear this in mind if this happens.  Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Hello we are a retired professional couple living in the south east,  UK.  We are looking for a villa/cortijo in Southern Spain to rent LONG TERM and UNFURNISHED only.  Somewhere close to some local shops, restaurants, doctors and hospital not too far away.  We require minimum 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, garage and a pool is  a MUST.  If you have solar/voltaic that would be a bonus as would good decor.  I need to be in a warmer climate due to arthritis.  We own property here in UK and these would be rented out, so no worries as far as renting in Spain.  Plus we have our pensions as well.  If you have something you think would suit us, I look forward to hearing from you.  It has to be long term though as we would be bringing all our furniture etc with us, which is a LOT.  A townhouse would not be large enough.  I would gestimate an internal area of no less than 1,300 sq ft would accommodate.    Please no timewasters as we've had a couple of wasted trips already.

Hello Mariedav I am not disappointed I came on, as it's good to get the opinions of as many as possible, that will hopefully help in our decision.  We know of the nuclear bomb in Palomares, and wouldn't dream of moving there if we had young children, as we believe it could have an effect.  Hopefully we're flying out on Monday to investigate :)
