If anybody is interested we have just had our whole apartment retiled with marble tiles by two really helpful and trustworthy Englishmen.
This was done while we were in the UK so we had no hassle as they moved all our furniture etc.

Some of you may have already experienced problems with your boilers since taking possession of your apartments.
We and our neighbour have had to replace our boilers due to substandard installation/ commisioning and the poor quality of components parts in the boiler.
I would recommend that you inspect the underside of your boiler for any signs of leaks.
For instance ours developed a leak and upon further investigation (due to the severe corrosion ) was on the point of  depositing 80 litres of water into the utility room.
We were fortunate that we were staying in the apartment at the time and hence avoided the damage this could have caused to both ours and the apartments below.

Hi Everyone,

Just to keep everyone updated, unfortunately there have been a further two breakins using the same method of entry. These were both in phase 2, second floor.  We have consequently had our gate lock changed to a flush fitting lock and if anyone wants a contact to get this done please send us a PM and we give can give you the details.  This change to the lock prevents the thief from simply breaking off the exposed part of the barrel lock which enables entry.

We still feel very strongly that if we had a security guard walking around this would surely act as a deterrent to the opportunist thief lurking who would then move on to easier pickings. La Calma have a security guard who was employed after a similar spate of breakins, and of course its worth mentioning that their community charges are still less than ours!

These breakins will continue to occur unless we take some action.

Stuart and Jackie,

You are quite right we need to do something because I have just telephoned Andy this morning and unfortunately  we have had 2 more break ins.

One is above Chris and the other somewhere in phase 2

Requesting his urgent proposals to improve security and get them implemented without delay.

I have already asked Kerry to consider taking the same measures as La Calma, ie employ the services of a Security Guard .
