I am aware of at least one car hire website that shows the fuel policy before you book and the prices are competitive. Just pick one with a Full/Full policy.

It's difficult to fully appraise the issue of the Geoff Cox and his girlfirend as the facts are rather brief.

However, in my rather limited experience of ordering and eating Paella in Spain it is usually sold to order, for a minimum of two people and charged per person. It's not clear for how many people the bill was charged.

I think it's possible to order a portion for one but usually where a large one is cooked in anticpation of multiple orders.

Perhaps it was all a misunderstanding that got out of hand?!

I would recommend Arguscarhire as although they are an agent rather than a hire company, they do show the fuel policies for all vehicles so you can pick full/full if you prefer.  My recent experience was actually at Faro airport but the car was competitively priced, quite new, there was no pressure to buy additional insurance and I specifically booked a full/full fuel policy which was honoured.

Reus airport is only a few miles from Tarragona though I suppose it depends where in the area you are.

You'll almost certainly be charged interest on the amount that is being financed i.e., 200k.

How the interest is charged depends on what you agree with the lender and is legally documented. If it is written up like an HP agreement then the 4% would be applied on the 200k for the whole 5 years regardless of the capital portion included in the €1500 per month repayments.

If it's drawn up like a normal mortgage loan then the interest element would reduce each month (or possibly each year) as capital is repaid.
