Hi,

has anybody managed to take photos of the club house showing an advance on how it was when we were over at the end of June.

If so perhaps you could advise on how to view them.

Next trip is in October and hopefully we will have something extra to admire.

Thank you and regards to all from a cold, wet and miserable Dublin.

Hi there,

Michael & Anne from Dublin here. We are just back from Corvera since October 4th and we had a really great time.

The golf course was in excellent condition and there were plenty of staff maintaining it. Needless to say there are a few patchy spots on the course, but it has only been open for a year and it will eventually be one of the finest courses in the area. Victoria and Don Carlos in the pro shop are really friendly and helpful; and we had four lovely rounds of golf during our stay.

The town of Corvera- although quite small- has a good choice of places to eat and drink. There are also a few supermarkets, a bakery, a great butcher, a pharmacy and various other shops up the back streets. The value for money is excellent with a meal for two including wine & beer for well under €30.00. Not far from Corvera (about 3 miles) is the town of Banos y Medico, and there is another excellent restaurant there which offers equally good value.

We completed our purchase last December. We had some initial complaints which are being sorted out by Corvera eg. dampness in outside walls and a problem with the patio door. Our experience of after sales service is slow but the job eventually gets done!

When we were out there last December we were fortunate to meet Moira McGee from Superior Interiors. She helped us with the purchase of our furniture, co-ordinated the delivery of it and kept in touch with us by email throughout all the time we were decorating it. She has great ideas and plenty of contacts so we would highly recommend her. She is very reliable and efficient.

Overall we are very happy with Corvera and we are really delighted that the area is so welcoming and friendly.Yes, there is a general slowdown in Spain as well as everywhere else in the world, but if you want to get away from all the bad news for a while then go to Corvera and chill out.

We do realise that there are some problems to be addressed at Corvera, with the clubhouse issue being the main one. However, the lack of a clubhouse does not really impinge on your stay once you own an apartment, though it would be nice to have the facility to use as a central point for meeting up.

We were told in October that Calidona were in discussions with the banks to try to secure finance to complete it and we're sure the banks are well aware that the presence of a clubhouse would only improve the footfall and therefore increase income once the course becomes established.

We have read lots of negative comments from many different sources but our overall experience to date has been positive and we remain optimistic that Corvera will be a success once its initial teething problems are overcome.

Hi Gina from Dublin,

Mr Micky here, also from Dublin. My wife and II were wondering if you had any difficulties in obtaining your NIE number and if you got it through your solicitor or organised it yourself.Could you tell us how many times you had to go to Spain to complete the process and was there much hassle involved.

Would you have any tips regarding the whole closure process as we are going over in September to put the wheels in motion.

How did you find the people at Corvera, were they okay to deal with ?

Thanks Gina, hope you have time to reply.

Regards,

Mr Micky.

HI,congratulations on finalisiing your purchase at Corvera.

Myy wife and I are going to stay at   Roda for a week in September and we will be going to Corvera to start the closure of our tilo appartment. If you have used Murcia Furniture,we were wondering what you thought of them and if you were happy with the quality of the goods/ services and prices etc. They have contacted us on numerous occasions and we were in thier store earlier in the year, but its always better to get an opinion from somebody who has actually purchased from them.

Look forward to any replies.

Regards,

Mr Micky
