Does anyone on this forum know what the current status is at Marina D'Or - assume they are still "open for business" but given all the negative press about the owoners / developers at one point, one wonders whether the whole development would be in adminstration by now?  Does it still get busy in summer?

Has anyone have any luck whatsoever in renting their apartment out?  Thier must be hundereds of people out there having to make mortgage payments with no rental income whatsoever?  Or am I just missing out on something?

It goes from bad to worse!

We have just been informed that our apartment in VistaMar III has been broken into. Below is an email from MacAnthony aftersales.

"After recently visiting your apartment we have encountered that there has a been a forced entry and the consequent robbery. The thieves have taken all the white goods & have left the apartment in a dirty condition.

I personnally visited the property with the police and presented an official complaint which I have attached to this email although it is in spanish.

The list of stolen goods are:

-Television

-Fridge freezer

-Oven

-Oven ceramic surface

-Microwave

The police have enquired as to wether you have insured the contents of the property so they can add these details to the complaint. They will be on the lookout for any similar cases and if anything comes up they will let us know, but it is a difficult situation as they do not know who the author is."

Hi Zabba,

Myself and a friend purchased an apartment in Vistamar 3 (completed in April 06) and are still awaiting for the final snag list to be completed by MacAnthony before we can rent it out.  We were lead to believe that the rentals would easily cover the mortgage and if we did intend to sell then MacAnthony would assist in finding a buyer.

MD looks like a great long term investment, but the rental guarentees don't come close to covering the mortgage in the shorter term and we fear that we might just be pouring more money into this instead of cutting the losses and getting out. 

Ideally we would like to sell asap, but there doesn't seem to be a secondary market at MD and they just seem to be building more new apartments that are a lot easier for them to sell off-plan.

Again we would appreciate any feedback from those who have managed to sell their properties or know of people who have.
