Hi,

after considerable research, I recently brought a 2008 corsa for my son here in the uk. Perfect car owned by a pensioner, service every year and had done 3,000 miles per year. My son , foolishly drove over the limit, so the car sits on the drive. The car is too good to sell.

We have a small lock up and leave, near Moraira. I've looked at the price of cars in Spain and they seem quite high.

Does anyone know how easy it is the register a UK plate as a permanent car in Spain (if that is a thing)

What are the road taxes like?

Typical yearly insurance?

I have heard there are reasonable priced car parks (fields) near Alicante airport, where you can leave cars.

just trying to get a comparison to the car hire charges for around 6 visits per year. More in later life.

just returned from a visit, and guess what, I felt the agent was telling me the things I wanted to hear, and not the things that I didn't.

Hi there,

We are considering a villa with pool in the Javea area. 5-10 years away from retirement, so looking to rent out in summer months for first few years. (€250-300k)

 

Can anyone just give a quick assessment of any of the bullet points below

 

• approx annual running costs, including taxes and insurances
• ongoing renta tax? Understand payable even if not let out.
• Electicity
• water
• TV broadband
• maintenance
• rubbish collection
• realistic rental incomes after management fees in particular summer 10-12 weeks
• crime in the Javea area ( typically areas like costa nova)
• if if you have done similar, do you regret it? Would you do it again?

A lot asked for i know, but if anyone can help with any points, it will be gladly received.

been looking at available properties on a couple of sites and am familiar with purchase costs and taxes.

What I cannot find, and I emailed one reseller and did not hear back, is what the maintenance/community charges are. I appreciate these are probably based on size of property, but as an example a two bed villa, what would they be?

assume it includes use of pools and facilities (not golf obviously ) does it include TV / broadband.

Any help would be appreciated.

is La Torre as nice as it looks?
