We redeemed our mortgage with Banco Popular.  Very easy process.  Transferred funds to our current account then made an appointment at our branch. Laura in Cabo Roig branch spoke perfect English and was very helpful.  We signed a few forms, paid a fee to get our deeds back and bank removed.  They took a couple of weeks to come through.
