We purchased an apartment at Oasis la Caleta and moved in December 2006.  The best place to head for is Las Chafiras not far from the airport .  Here you will find a multitude of furniture stores etc.  We purchased most of our furniture from Biombos - pricey but high quality and excellent service.  Ask for Pila.
