Hello all,

Fairly new to all this,. so posted about getting together to confront the developer for a reasonable price or to sue to get the money back. It seems I am late in the day, so given a month has gone by now I would not mind an update from someone.

Basically,  our first option would probably be to try to get the money back from the developer. However, if most were completing we would be prepared to look at it if the price were right.

We do have an independent lawyer, but she is conveyencing only and does not really deal with contract law, it seems. Would appreciate an update or any thoughts, as I said in another post, we would be prepared to pay our bit to join the club.

Given the current situation with both Ocean View and the never ending missed dates from the developer, I wonder if people are interested in getting together and seeing what options we all have. I know a number of other developments in the area have had similar problems and are starting to make some headway by banding together.

I am not clear where this may take us, but it seems it may be less costly if a number of people were to chip in and maybe instruct a solicitor on all our behalves. Obviously many options would be open, from trying to get deposits back to negotiating a more realistic price if people wanted to proceed.

Let's see what interest there may be to start with.

Hi all, we have just joined and I was expecting a (potential) owners forum to discuss current issues that I feel are perhaps less than satisfactory at least from my point of view.

Is there such a thing and is so, how does one get accredited as an owner, therefore having a significant stake in the upcoming completions process
