Having completed with our purchase of a Tulipan apartment earlier this year and duly signed up with Bridge Holmes International. We are as yet to get a single booking through them, despite Mr Vickers assurances last November that they would be able to at least get sufficient lets to cover the overheads, ‘If he couldn’t then he wasn’t  doing his job’!!!

Well they have put the final nail in the coffin by letting our apartment to a couple who came out to stay in their own apartment only to find (despite BHI snagging) that it was not complete. They then tried to charge this couple for staying in our apartment. They received the justifiable refusal and so BHI agreed that they would cover the cost to ourselves. Surprise surprise, they didn’t acknowledge this booking to us. We have however now received an invoice from them for the cleaning of the apartment claiming that this is the initial clean to make the place useable for our guests dated a week after they had it for their own use!

So our time with Bridge Holmes has come to an abrupt end and we need to find an alternative letting agent. Can anybody recommend an agent to us?

Any advice would be gratefully received

Like many of you we have purchased a property under the advice and recommendations of Inside Track We found the organisation to be grossly negligent in their responsibilities. The Due Diligence that they claim to have undertaken must have consisted of them talking to a relative who had passed through here on holiday some years ago. The assurances that the property would be easily let and that the overheads would be covered in 15weeks rent have fallen so far short it defies belief. We have also established that similar properties were being sold at the time of our purchase (three years ago) for some 20,000 euros less than our supposedly discounted rate through I.T. that combined with a plethora of start up costs and running costs that we were not made aware of, I am still reeling from how far they have taken me and any other purchasers for a ride.

 

It is also becoming apparent that this was not a one off mistake but is happening repeatedly in other developments in Spain the UK and Florida.

Has anyone who feels similarly tried to take any action against I.T. If so how did you get on?
