Hi Steve
We bought through Masa and completed mid May. The place was fine. It was cleanish, just a bit dusty, but nothing u couldnt live with for a day. Furniture was all unpacked and just needed the plastic throwing out. All we needed to do immediately was buy some sheets for the bed and go and get some beers! The white goods came the next day and we spent the afternoon shopping for essentials. Also the snagging guy came from Masa and found nothing wrong with the exception of a couple of light bulbs didnt work. The Masa snagger said that DH2 had a better finish by far thatn DH1 and that the builders had really improved. We are going out until end of July and my husband and son will be there for most of August - hope to see you then.

Have no idea when commercial centre will start but I believe the golf course is still with town hall. I think, and dont quote me, there could have been some kind of dispute with local and centre government.

There is absolutely loads to do! We always have a car so not sure about bus routes and timetables etc. I would suggest you visit the tourist information centre, there is one not far from us. There is probably a website too. Good luck and happy surfing.

You're right builders seem to be running 2 to 3 months behind. There does seem to be a delay regarding the licence if u have a spanish mortgage as i understand it needs to be produced before funds are released. Rather than have a spanish mortgage, you could borrow against your english property (if u have the equity). However, interest rates are higher than spanish rates but u dont have the uncertainty of any currency fluctuations. We are over at end of May (in our property for the first time :) ) If you want to call to see us, please feel free. If u send me a pm I will give you our number.
