HI Finn

We are exactly of the same mind as you......right now we are going to cut our losses and try to move on. We are dissappointed and can't believe the money we are going to loose....we have paid a 30% deposit and only stand to get 25% of it back.......the dream has disintegrated.........and I believe the development is complete on phase 1 with regards to the houses.....we are gutted but at this stage we are just trying to get something back. We have just spoken to our solicitor this morning and advised her that we are not going to complete and to try and retrieve as much as the deposit as possible ...........she is of the opinion that we will not win any court case against Taray for a full refund and thinks we are losing by not completing and will lose a substantial amount of money....at this stage if we get anything back it will be a bonus......its an awful situation and we fell in love with San Cayetano and the area.......the shine has gone.....and along with the way the market is everything is a lot more dicey e.g rental and resale..........What stage are you at with regards completing? Do you know of anyone else who has not completed and what was the outcome?
Our solicitor is forwarding a letter from Taray confirming a committment from them with regards to the pool....I will forward it to you when we get it if you would like....really mixed feeling s now and my sister is in Spain at the moment and has visited San Cayetano and says its lovely....dosen't help....

Regards

Hi Everyone

Good to see that the common feeling that the pool is an issue is alive and well............we contacted our solicitor and made our views very clear i.e no pool no completion monies..........adding that there were plenty of other like minds.........Her response from Taray was that if the Town council were not forthcoming with moving on with the pool then they (Taray) would commence themselves !!!!!!!!which begs the question why don't they do this anyway ???????So many different stories and versions of stories are emerging now that they don't know what to say.....As stated in an earlier thread we totally believe that if we all to-gether refuse to complete until phase 1 is completed then the pressure will have to make them build the pool  and surely this will benefit everyone who have completed, are about to complete and who are looking to complete in the future. Keep the pressure on and if that means one solicitor to represent all then we are in favour of that.

We too are glad that we are not the only ones who have had difficulty getting any straight answers re the pool. We got two different answers from Sales and customer service. Like suggested, when we visited in February, we went to the the sales office and brought up the issue of the pool on phase one while Teresa was in the middle of one of her sales pitches to potential buyers. It was not taken kindly and we were very firml;y reassured that " of course the pool will be built" but to consult with customer service on the details. We persisted and were told by Teresa it would be November and were curtly cut out of conversation.  Helder in customer service told us the same day that there was no definite time frame for the building of the pool. Our solicitor meanwhile has assured us of the integrity of Taray but as yet nothing can be confirmed in writing. Surely if the brochure shows and descibes a pool area and it dosen't materialise then it is false advertising? We intend to e-mail customer services and keep doing so until we get some answers. Everyone should......

Hi All

We are new to this forum and have just purchased a Quad on Manzana 5 which is due for completion July 08. We had a 3 day visit at the end of Feb and everything seems to be on schedule and we are looking forward to the summer as we have two small kids. Does anyone have any info on the general community area including pool to be built on site. When we were there the area shown on the brochure for this area has not even been started yet. We got conflicting info from the sales office and Helder. The ground is owned by the Town Council with Taray going to be the developer but with regards to what is to be built and more importantly when we could get no definite answers except that a pool will be built but not sure what else???

On a diferent note ......can anyone give us advice with regards to purchasing furniture and different packages that might be available

Delighted we found this Forum and hopefully names will become faces soon.
