Hi Jon,

Not sure what is happening regarding problems with Villas.  We are on phase 8 and from what I can gather from the Community meetings some owners here also have problems and have been thinking of getting together to take group legal action.   Dont know if anything much has happened as my Spanish is not so good and as we are only ever there for holidays we lose track of whats happening.  Suggest you contact the chairman of you community to see if anyone is doing anything.  Helen

We also had leaks from the rain and so did a good few of our neighbours. We left on the morning after the rain and were fortunate enought to be able to clear up before we went.  It seems to have come in from the chimneys and apparently a few of the Spanish have now set to with some interesting remedial works!!!  These include duck tape and polythene.  I think that if so many of us have had problems perhaps it is a design fault and down to the developer. 

 Apparently part of the communal swimming pool surround has also collapsed so it will be interesting to see how long it takes them to fix it.  We do have a lot of Spanish where we are and I think they will probably nag the builder to get something done.

With regards to the Black Monstrosity we are almost opposite it and have lost a lot of our view from the solarium  I understand it is the developers son who is having the property built and I am sure his neighbours will make him very welcome!!!  I for one will let him have my snagging list as no one else seems to want it!!!!

With regards to the front doors we nearly got locked out as we forgot to take a key out from the inside and put the key on the outside lock and it wouldn't open.  Managed to get some English builders to wiggle it about and get us back in.    

I do wish the Spanish weren't so fond of the awful green stuff on the fences, our neighbours have put stuff up which doesn't reach to the end of the fence or the bottom, looks awful and has completely blocked our view of the sea from the terrace.   I am also sick of listening to the dogs barking all the time.

So what with Black Monstrosities and fencing we cant see a lot anymore! and with the dogs we are needing ear plugs.  However still love the house and the area and at  least  the sun shines!!!

Hello Leicsguy,

Nice to see someone else signing in !!!  We completed on our place In January and thought that the talk of shops was just that!  It'll be good to get to the  shops without running the gauntlet of the N332!!!!  Be interested to know if you let your property and if so can you recommend anyone for good management nearby??  We are not expecting to let out a lot  ,mainly to friends and family but it would be good to have someone looking after it fairly locally.  HB

We are buying on Dorado and although the property has been finished since end of June we cannot complete because the guarantee will not be issued until the end of the phase which could be April/May 2007 (or later!!!).  Has anyone else had the same problem when buying on this development and did  you manage to get the guarantees before the phase was completed.
