Hi,

We are thinking of coming out to our place on Sierra Golf at end of summer and wondered if the barking dog problem/nuisance has got any better? Or better still .........stopped.

I understand the neighborhood watch team has contact with police at Torre Pacheo, and has numbers of dedicated police support officer/team.

Surely they would advise or take action over dog barking issues, even if one of the offenders is one of theirs?

Probable more so....due to embarrassment to the Police Dept and possible bad press if taken to court.

Like others, we love the SG community feel and quietness/peacefulness but find ourselves hesitating about coming out if selfish few are still disturbing quite enjoyment of our property.

 I compleatly agree with "fromie32" concerning dog barking nuisance on Sierra Golf.

Our last visit was nearly ruined by constant barking of dogs right through every night.

If dogs bark all the time they are not doing there job of alerting their owners to abnormal noise, burglars/intruders.

So deterrent value of having a dog is lost?

I am told that having a dog/dogs that causes a nuisance (barking etc) is a police matter in Spain and owners can be prosecuted for Spanish equivalent of Anti Social behavior..

Lets hope it doesn't come to that and everyone protects the peacefulness of Sierra Golf and considers their neighbors.

As always this issue/problem is not the animals fault. It is the responsibility of owners to train and take responsibility for their pets.

We very much agree with last post concerning rubbish bins at Sierra Golf.

A lot of rubbish is recyclable and Spain has very record on supplying recycling bin areas.

We take all newspapers, cardboard, bottles, plastic to either Balsicas, opposite Anna's coffee shop,

or up to La Tercia opposite Tele Club.

We make it little outing to do rubbish, have coffe and do some shopping in nearby food shops etc.

Enjoy Sierra Golf, it's on the way up!,

Can anyone help please?

We have bought an Open and want to instal either a log burner or similar.

Can anyone give any advice and where to buy, cost of said fire place equipment etc?

What is best type of equipment?

Youe experience and knowledge is needed fellow Sierra Golfers!!

Hola,

I am thinking of having the front terrace of our Green glazed so as to make it more usable in winter months etc.

Has anyone had this done please. I seem to remember seeing a Green  that had work done..... and it looked great.

Any names and telephone numbers of companies that do this sort of glazing would be much appreciated.
