Fab from my experiance, having all these things done is very important as you never know what disease they could catch, in a foreign country. They are obviously going to run around, play and have a wild time as dogs do! I wouldnt skip any vaccinations - I know it is very expensive.

The best guys I get advise off for my pets health when travelling abroad is the defra website, they usually answer a lot of my questions about the documents and passport procedure/health checks http://www.defra.gov.uk/wildlife-pets/pets/travel/

Hope this helps!

Forum thread: DRIVING WITH 5 DOGS FROM UK TO SPAIN

--------------------------------------
24 Apr 2012 11:36 AM:

Good Morning!

There is also another option you might be interested in, the operators are LD Lines and GLDAtlantique - they offer a landbridge package starting from the uk Newhaven-Dieppe France and then StNazaire-Gijon and of course return. You then get to visit both France and Spain and enjoy the experience of visiting these countries!

The Brittany Ferries sailing to Santander mentioned previously benefits from travelling direct without stopping, however if you did decide on driving you can find tickets from Uk to France (very popular Dover-Calais+Dover+Dunkerque) for the same duration (both roughly 2 hours) and with prices starting from £25! Of course depending on where your final destination is you will need to calculate petrol prices too!

You can visit the ferries to Spain section on  http://www.aferry.co.uk/ferry-to-spain-ferries-uk.htm, there's a Guide to Spain and special offers. I hope this has helped, if not by any means please just skip!

Best Wishes,

Gina

Hi,

Sorry to hear you are troubled.

I'm no expert in this area but for any legal documents it's best to contact your local embassy and explain this to them, not too sure by reading the below if it is paperwork/passports orpaperwork/recidency allowance that they need?

I think it is an extreme measure to take them away from you, I would check your legal rights online. I'm sure they can't expect you to get this sorted in such sort notice!

I wish you all the ebst and good luck,

Gina

Stacey make sure you number any boxes you package and make a list of the contents!

I have known people who have many things missing in the old days - I'm sure theres nothing to worry about now but better safe than sorry!

Good luck with your move.
