Hi all,

As this is the chit chat area i believe this is the right place for these questions.  Having read the recent posts on the 'request for an extraordinary meeting' forum, there appears to be an effort of some individuals to discredit the committee.  My question is, 'How many members of the developers family or friends have an apartment in phase 1 and 2'?  Do we know who they are?  It appears to me that from past posts that Arrohabitatge would benefit from getting control of phase 1 and 2.

My wife and i believed that this complex would be good place to retire. Indeed the area and scenery are breathtaking.  What destroys it is the bickering of individuals bent on destroying the work of dedicated people willing to give up their own time and money to work for the community. OK so they don't all live there on a permanent basis, but you must have known this when voting.  Even so these people still devote a large portion of their time to the committee.

I say you had your chance to be voted in but chose not to.  You must have then voted for the present committee.  These people have decisions to make and some may be unpleasant like dismissing contractors.  OK so this time a vote should have taken place, but what were they to do when complaints were flooding in about areas not cleaned.  Or were only the areas of permanent residents cleaned?  In any case its done and lessons will be learned.  Was legal advise given or taken before the action to discontinue the contract?

Max, its good to read positive action from you again, good on you.

Have fun everyone, we will stick with caravanning for a while longer. Happy holidays.

Hi everyone,

I've been reading comments on this thread for the past week and its been a  great source of amusement. Grammar aside i understand that there are those replying here who are not English. However i applaud those who are not English for replying as i am crap at Spanish.

I believe you are all being lead into a battle of wits and this is beginning to destroy all that you have built.

Last year i looked to Max and Davmunster for advise on what was happening in Don Juan and you both were very very helpful and cooperative. Your rapport with each other through emails was professional.  What happened?  You all need to ask yourselves; Who would stand to gain most from your division?  Who stands to gain most from the breakup of your committee?  I am sure you are all more intelligent than to allow your emotions to interfere with your judgement.

Please please wake up and smell the roses.  The committee needs your support.  You elected them.  You cannot suddenly decide to contradict them after i read posts for them to do something about the cleaning contract that you have all complained about for the last year!!  I applaud David for taking the most uncomfortable decision to dismiss the cleaner from their present contract which he, as the elected official, is entitled to do. A decision he was prompted to do by the neighbours of Don Juan.  I urge you all to stop and think before you explode into comments on this forum.  If you have comments to individuals please PM them. This forum can be read by anyone who signs up for it.

Sorry i am not a neighbour of yours but i hope to be soon.  I was informed that Don Juan is a good place full of good people.  Remember also that these apartments have been paid for by hard working people who need this area for relaxation and stress free holidays or even retirement.

My Grammar aside i wish you all well for the future.

Hi all,

I've just returned from a 2 day trip to view the progress of this build.  My god how do you guys put up with the road conditions they are atrocious.  I was asked about tyre and window insurance when i hired my car and to be honest wished I'd taken it.  I met your security guard on Friday night.  He was looking at something in his car.  There was a white electrical lead coming out of the phase 3 build.  He challenged me with some reluctance, (it was 8.30 at night).  He was pleasant though.  Just one point that when i viewed the property in the daylight the workers weren't too pleased at me taking photo's!  None of them were wearing hi-viz clothing or helmets.  When they were unloading a lorry load of steel with a crane there was no banks-man.  I don't care if this is Spain EU safety rules are clear.  When they were welding on the roof sparks were dropping onto the pavement, (that is used by the present residents).  The health and safety on this site is a nightmare, no wonder the progress has been so quick.

I had problems finding the road to the complex at first but was given directions by the very good people at 'Me Gusto'.  I hope this is the right name.  Is there another access road?  Sorry didn't have much time i arrived back this afternoon,(Saturday).  On a positive note, the views from above were beautiful and the weather wonderful.  You all must be very fit by now though.

regards

Nigel

Hola ,

Sorry to change the subject. Can anyone recommend a good lawyer.  The more i read about advice against adopting a lawyer recommended by the selling agent and the responses, (or lack of), we are getting is pushing me to change.  I used 'Lawyers of Spain' to purchase in phase 3 and they seem to be very pro developer and agent.  any advice would be welcome. I have looked at 'Sparkes' and 'Irwin and Mitchell' but have yet to act.

many thanks in advance.

Hola,

Hope you have all had a fantastic Christmas holiday.  I would like to thank all of you for the updates on Don Juan phase 3.  It looks from the information i have received that work has been continuous throughout the holiday period and will therefore be online for finishing in the 3 month period that Max was told of.  It would be interesting to see whether or not they are using the electricity supply from the other 2 phases as been commented on.  How would you quantify the cost if you asked Arrohabitage to pay?  Would the residents of phase 3 be asked to contribute?  My only main concern with the build is to what quality is the structure?  Buildings that are thrown up in this fashion always suffer long term.  Surely they must have an inspector of sorts?

Happy new year
