Is there a definitive answer as to whether 1.1% or 2 % is the correct divisor of the CATESTRAL value for the modelo 210 tax. I have tried to obtain answers from tax offices in Mallorca where we have an apartment. Like a previous contributor to this thread I have just filed and paid this tax for last year at 1.1% only to find a neighbour who uses an agent has paid at 2%. The local tax offices keep passing me on to another office all without resolve.

I m now considering just to be safe filing a second set of forms for the difference 0.9%. Any suggestions

There are 2 charges. 1 relates to the actual usage of power and the other to the max power you could use at any one time. ( the potential ) You might be able to reduce your potencia to get a saving in the standing charge . However if you lower it too much you will get power outages if you use too many appliances at the same time

thanks for the words of caution. The company is Wincham Internaional. You have probably come across them before and the scheme does sound very plausible

My wife and I have owned the property for 4 years so the deeds would presumably need amending + payment of plusvalia although that may even be negative.

Does any one know the pros and cons of putting a Spanish property into a uk company so as to avoid death duties etc . There is one company that advertises a lot and says the costs are £5300 to action the placement and then £200 a year to submit reports to company house. 

 

Any thoughts or comments appreciated
