Having re-read my last entry I cant see any evidence of mentioning your name, what you do or anything related to you Mr Clarkee.

If you feel it was an attack on you I can only ask, 'do you really belive you are that important'? I don't know you, though plenty of people have lots to say about you, so why would I be talking about you?

I found your remarks insulting and without foundation, but then I suppose thats the measure of the man making them.

I don't like advertising on what is supposed to be a discussion forum and nor do I  like them being used for personal attacks on individuals. Thats what playgrounds are for.

Community thread: Asociacion de Vecinos de Terreros - All Residents of San Juan - Making it a great

The residents association for San Juan is a marvelous idea and much needed. It means that at my time of life I can sit back and let other people take up my issues. I would like to know who the prospective candidates for the committee will be. If its the usual self serving clowns who use arenas such as this simply to advertise and promote their own little villa letting 'companies' (sic), then it will just become a farce. I hope this is not the case.

On a side issue, I was always under the impression there were rules about using these forums for blatant advertising, yet some people appear to be showing up on several threads with nothing much of interest to say, but lots of buissness advertising.!!

I do a very reasonable rate for gall bladder removal and small intestine reconstructive surgery if anyones interested. Much detailed advertising to follow.

This is a personal view point, but I dont like the way many of these threads are being used by people as a means of advertising their little business empires.

Just in case there is any uncertainty, I have not mentioned any particular 'brand', 'name' or 'company'. It is a general observation. I wonder  how many people will respond to thiswith their company advert attached? (I'll pass on my details of where to send the commission cheques!)

I am aware that individuals on other developments have joined together and formed 'action groups' where by they hire one solicitor to act on behalf of them all in order to gain information or carry out any actions. Its probably a cost effective way of doing things for any individuals that have concerns/ queries. Perhaps somebody else has more information and knowledge of this way of approaching things. If nothing else a Spanish solicitor might be able to find out information about the developer which is positive and puts peoples minds at rest.

You are absolutely right Bernardo. I am not arguing that Terreros should remain a quaint village. in fact i would be first in the line to argue that this town needs more people, more shops and more amenities. However, the area relies on tourists and holiday trade in order to survive. Holiday makers will not come back if there is nothing on offer but half finished building sites and, as you rightly point out, half finished roads.  I am not a doctor of economics or a sooth-sayer but i do try and pay attention to what is going on around me. I know the builders of Calas del Pinar have gone bankrupt and I am also aware that the developers have applied for bankruptcy, though this was rejected by the courts as at this time the company has too many assets. What happens when they are declared bankrupt though? A half finished property is of no real use to anyoneand what will people do without electricity or water. Neither endesa or galasa will connect individual properties. I truly hope that things work out positively for those living on the site or planning to move on to it soon, but for those who have paid deposits it is a big gamble to take. By the way, I never said I wasnt purchasing on Calas del Pinar.
