Hi all,

Can I ask if there is anyoe out there who has had any joy with GM Legal Experts? I'm now at the point of joinig up with the MAG and paying money but just wanted to know if there was any good news out there?

Hi all, it's been a long time since I posted anything on here although must confess I do keep having a look to see what the mood is! One thing's for sure, the mood ain't great at the moment!

Well I was over there in early April. I met Jane and saw their "solicitor" and they told me that once the backer was in place then building would start in the summer! I asked them to forgive me if I doubted what they said but they didn't have a sense of humour. They also said if I didn't want to wait until the place was built then I could "apply" for a refund by sending them a "burofax". Some sort of legal document that we are suppsed to formally lodge with them. Then they said refunds would be made once the first properties were sold as they didn't have the money to repay to clients now!

I then spoke to some lawyers down there and they basically said "give us 400 euros to send a "burofax" and TH will put it on their pile! But my contract says they are clearly in breach so I could sue them and it'll cost 10,000 euros and about a year. "Oh and by the way, we're not sure if you'll get your money back as they are not financially secure!" 

So what a predicament. I don't mean to preach to the converted but we are where we are. Now what do we do? I'm sure some are trying them on legally and others are holding on in hope if for no other reason as they're not keen on throwing another 10k at this. I'd very much like to hear who's doing what.

Hi All,

I too recieved the communication about ths final building licence but also this afternnon, I had a long chat with an agent who's been over there last week. It's now all about the money to build! The understanding is that GT are trying to get as many buyers as possible to take up the 8.5% offer of reduction and sign an ammended contract so he can then take this to a bank. With the banks having no money to lend, clearly it's more likely they'll get funding if they can show that they have the buyers aleady contracted to buy rather than try to get funding to build then sell when finished. Personally, call it wishfull thinking if you like, but I still think that this thing will happen

I'm over there at the end of the month and will take a view then.

Hi nice people, 
I understand your point  ipl1964, but I for one am not really looking at this dream as "an Investment". Sure property prices go down as well as up and it's all about timing but this isn't about that. This is about fun, life style and as you say, sitting in that Jaccuzzi on your terrace looking out over the golf course. ( I've reserved a penthouse too and I have the same vision.............one day!)  Anyway today's the day then folks, this must be make or bust. Good luck to us all!
