Hi everybody, I have just returned from Torre Alcantara Balsicas Spain, this is an update on this site. Four properties are for sale that are the closest to the bridge, so we shall see if they still sell easily now that the bridge is built or if they have lost money in value. A tennis court, a five a side football pitch & a community centre are all being built right next to the bridge where the Taray site office once stood. This is for the use of the all the the villagers, as a thank you from the builder for allowing him to build in their village.

Children and parents will all be in this area from the village and from the Torre Alcantara site, while cars are going over this bridge, should anybody throw a empty glass bottle from a moving car it may well hit a child or an adult on the head, as it is not netted with a safety net as it is at the point where the bridge goes over the single railway line. So it shows they are concerned about people throwing things onto the railway track, but that is as far as it goes. 

I have been told from a very good source that this flyover bridge as been on the plans for some thirty years (30 YEARS) they have been waiting for the European funding to pay for the building of it. So how can the builder Taray or any of the agents say that they had no knowledge about this bridge, it is and has been comman knowledge to all in that area. Taray had to know when they put their plans in for the properties they wished to build. The green area to the front of the site towards the railway track, which many people were told was going to be a walking area with palm trees etc, is not to be, it is now to have 30 plus town houses on it instead. All I can say it seems to be one broken promise after another being made then broken by the day. On this very day the 26th Sept 2007 this field as a large amount of building equipment & building materals on it.

Hi everybody, My name is David I have bought a property on the Torre Alcantara site in Balsicas, which is not that far from you. None of the buyers on my site were told about the bridge that has been built there.

We wasn't told before we payed our depoists, in our up dates each monthe we wasn't told that work had begun on this very large bridge. Mr Graham Martindale Director of the Owners club says he "As No Duty Of Care," can you beleive that he dosent care. That he & his company have sold properties to people, knowing that this bridge was going to be built, that it's been built, and now he says he dosent care about our concerns with this bridge. It is bigger that the houses, one home is only 12 feet from it, should a car or a HGV come off this bridge at that point it could kill up to 100 people. I am sending a report to the AIPP which Parador is a member of, they have to adhere to a Code of Conduct, or lose their membership, pay fines etc, Parador is not keeping to this code of conduct, I and a number of other buyers of properties can prove this, to Paul Owen of the AIPP in London.

I would like people to reply to this thread and say what they feel about the bridge or anything. Regards David.

Hi everybody, This thread is about the building of the very big flyover bridge at the side of the Torre Alcantara development in Balsicas.

This bridge as been built, but Parador the agents & Taray the builder of the homes, as failed to tell their clients that this bridge was goito be built or even tell them even after the bridge was built.

If buyers are not aware of the eyeonspain web site, to veiw the photo's of this bridge, they wont know about it till they come to Spain to sign the Notary. Mr Graham Martindale Director of the Owners Club of Parador Properties says he nor his company as "NO DUTY OF CARE" concerning this bridge. He tries to state he nor Taray had no knowledge about this bridge before it was being built, he as not even told his clients on this present day the 24th Aug 2007 that it as been built. I can & will prove that Mr Martindale did know all about this bridge being built, as I have made a full report to Paul Owen of the AIPP of London. For those of you that dont know of the AIPP, this is what it is, and what it can do to it's members, Parador is a member of the AIPP. The Association of International Property Professionals has a code of conduct for all of its members which must be adhered to at all times, below is just three of these rules that the AIPP say Parador must adhere too.

1.1. Rule. Members shall adhere to the highest standards of honesty and professional integrity  both in their dealings with the public and in their dealings with each other.

2.2. Rule. Members shall always recommend the use of an independent lawyer for international property transactions.

2.3.Rule. Members shall not require potential buyers to sign binding preliminary purchase contracts without giving them reasonable opportunity to reflect on the contract and to obtain legal advice.

If anybody feels that they have not been treated fairly by Parador or by any agent who is a member of the AIPP, then contact Paul Owen of the AIPP, and stand up for your rights as a buyer in Spain.

Hi, Yes it is possible, I had a number of problems with the firm of solicitors Parador recommended. They where sending me final bills but would not break all the cost down, so I sacked them when there was only a month to go to signing the Notary, I found another solicitor called Jose.

He got the job done quickly and correctly, plus his final bull was cheaper than the other one, so yes you can, and save your self some money along the way. I you want Jose full contact details please get in touch with me.
