Keith.

Yes the bright blue machine is near the where phase 5 will be, I went to see the spot where phase 5 is currently planned, it will be built on a slope, with the highest part of 5 around the same height of the tallest units on phase 2.

However, the agent that showed me around said that all phase 5 units may have sold too quickly and it may not go ahead in its current planned form!?

I went to the top of a couple of tall phase 2 units and there is no doubt in my mind that phase 5 will block your view to the side! If nothing else it will make you feel more enclosed.

I'm just being realistic.

David.

All,

I have just returned from a trip to Mojon Hills (stopped in La Cumbre Hotel in Puerto de Mazarron, see other topic message board for a review I've just left)

I have purchased in phase 3, but I have just placed general pictures of phase 2 under the mojon shared photos. Most are under 12th March but there are a couple of good ones of the whole of phase 2 under 10th March.

Progress looks to be moving well there were builders on site working thursday, friday, saturday, sunday, monday and tuesday!

David.

All,

I have just returned from 5 days at La Cumbre Hotel.

I have also uploaded 3 pictures of the hotel room and view on to the mojon hills shared pictures.

What an experience!

It cost £100 for 5 days for the room (not per person). Think I managed to get the last of the cheap room prices, but got the same type of room as everyone else.

Each morning there seemed to be around 10 British at the hotel, the rest seemed to be mostly made up of older Spanish people on Spanish coach tours.

Breakfast is good for free! good coffee, toast, bread rolls, cereal (coco pops, corn flakes etc.) cheese, Spanish meat, jam, orange squash, pastries etc.)

If you brace yourself for a cheap experience its a great thing to do, room was very, very clean, but furniture is old, don't sit on chairs or lean on tables!

Bed sheets were changed every day and were very clean and fresh.

Bathroom was good, marble tops and floor etc. but shower curtain wasn't waterproof and water went through it!!?

Great view from the room looking over the town and sea, nice large balcony with white plastic table and chairs.

Ask for the 4th (top) floor, excellent views.

One bad point is that from 10:30am till 11pm they would put on a loud Spanish radio in the main bar which is under most of the rooms looking out to sea. So if you're resting in your room before going for some food you would have to shut your balcony door. The noise was so loud you couldn't sleep before 11pm due to the noise!

Air conditioning blew out warm air no matter what you did with the controls, reception seems concerned but noing was done, I suspect they dont turn the air conditioning on until peak season starts (1st July).

Walk from the hotel to the port takes about 10-15 minutes, maybe a third of it down a hill! If you are going to pick your tiles, the tile shop is at the bottom of the hill, 200 yards to the left then turn right.

Only other bad point was some of the British staying there, some were 'lads' who would shout the 'F' word (amoungst others) down the corridors and slam doors. Only ever saw older Spanish people there on my trip and they were lovely.

The pool is not heated and probably wouldn't be swimmable! for a couple of months, don't be taken in by the clever picture of the view from the pool on the hotel website, it over looks the suburbs with a distant view of the sea. No-one sat around the pool.

But all in all, go for the experience, if you pay a cheap price, you get what you paid for, if you pay more than £50 per night you might start to grumble.
