Hi

The devastating recent fires in Mojacar have brought home the need to establish contact with other owners.

Being in the UK, we were keeping up to date via many forums, the best being Viva Almeria and David Jackson. Our property services agent were evacuated, so we could not communicate until they returned to their property in La Parata.

Our thoughts were with those who were there and at the time it would have been completely wrong to ask about Spirit of Mojacar, when lives were at risk. I cannot imagine what it was like and a big thank you goes to the Spanish Fire Services, Military, Gardia, Ambulance etc.

Anyone out there ?.

Are Car Hire companies legally obligated to provide these as I have never seen all of these when I have hired with various firms.

Presumably, you cannot have a defence of "it's a hire car" ?.

Hi All

If I understand correctly, there is no need or legal requirement to change your address on your NIE. 

However, does the address need to be a valid one ? as when I got my NIE the property I was purchasing was under construction but has never been completed. I subsequently, got my money back and purchased elsewhere although still in the locality.

There has been a General and an Extraordinary General Meeting where the question of Community Fees was discussed and agreed. Therefore, no problem.

Only just seen okeeffep's post 22 October 2008 and he / she may now know the answer.

Community fees were raised from the initial amount of circa €60 a month to €100 over a year ago. Collection of the fees are now made quarterly, in advance.

All owners should provide the Administrator with their e-mail address and they will then receive dates of meetings and also the subsequent minutes electronically. 

If you need the Adminstrators e-mail address, please send me a PM.
