Thanks for taking the time to let us know how things are, and are developing in Torre Alcantara. As far as shopping goes we believe you can travel by train to Cartagena or Murcia from Balsicas and no doubt once the community develops someone will organise a regular “mini-bus” service to any preferred shopping centres on a regular basis. From what we can gather the purpose of the “flyover”, is to facilitate the upgrading of the current sedate rural service to a high speed inter-city link! So you can get a train direct to Madrid/Barcelona - not sure if this is all good due to the proximity of the line to Torre Alcantara - we were assured on our inspection trip to the development that a high wall was going to be built between the development and the railway line they didn’t mention the “fly-over” , perhaps they didn’t know about it then. Taray seem to have built up quite a reputation over the last 20 years in Murcia as a high quality builder, glad we picked the right place despite the other hic-cups , which seem to pale after reading what is going on at some of the other developments i.e. San Cayetano have discovered that their communal swimming pool is actually going to be a municipal pool and they will have to pay for the pleasure of using it ( I believe they will be able to buy a weekly pass for 10Î ).

I look forward to frequenting those quite dark and smoky bars in Balsicas while Joan shops till she drops in Dos Mares or elsewhere! Yeah then I woke up.
