Hi fellow Condadudes & Condadudettes.

This thread has shed some light on a recent incident that befell myself as I was out dog-walking on the Condado inner ring road (or the speed track as some would obviously call it). First of all, there appears to be a team of 'crack joggers' whose sole intention is to appear from nowhere and take a running jump over my bewildered Shihtzu, Albert, as he performs his daily ablutions! Chief protagonist amongst these crazed runners is some buffoon dressed in what seems to be hi-vis pink Lycra! Why he feels the need to leapfrog my dog is baffling, but suffice to say, I have reported this incident several times. The reason for posting on this thread is only a couple of days ago, after yet another mad jogger attack, I was about to cross the 'racetrack' to enter the holy grail of Al-Kasar in order to purchase my daily ice cream. Looking forward to this delectable sugary treat, I perhaps wasn't paying as much attention as I should. I stepped into the road and was almost flipped over by a maniac driving a red Ford Fiesta with the aforementioned reg plate. Quick as a flash I whipped out my portable speed gun and clocked this idiot doing a frankly ridiculous 19 miles per hour. I am unaware of the speed limit on Condado, but surely walking pace is more than fast enough? Do we want total carnage on the mean streets of Condado? I think not! And so join with me, fellow residents, when I say 'Smiley Kev, your card has been marked.'

Hi Smiley Kev. I'm feeling quite sorry that you're not feeling smiley anymore, but don't worry - once these Al Kasar pool terrorists are apprehended we will all be able to move on from this most unsavoury incident and the smile will be back on your face! I spent several hours at Al Kasar last night (sadly without Albert) and I'm pleased to report that there wasn't a single incident of water-bothering for the entire evening. Not proof yet that some may still venture into the lush waters of Al Kasar, but a step in the right direction I'm sure you'll agree? One previous poster mentioned the possibility of webcams, and I feel this could be the way forward! I think maybe some sort of remote-controlled miniature boat with a built in webcam, controlled from the gatehouse could be the answer to all our prayers. Here's hoping!

Hi Smiley. I too witnessed the said incident and was struck with the same sense of horror as you! How these people can blatantly ignore these all too visible signs is beyond me! Sadly, this isn't the first time and I fear it won't be the last! Only a couple of weeks ago I was out walking my shihtzu, Albert, around the Al Kasar pool, much like yourself. Imagine my horror when I saw what can only be described as an 'inebriated overweight gentleman' in green speedos doing backstroke across the pool! I was aghast, but didn't fancy the challenge of approaching this chap as he looked like he could 'handle himself.' I fear the only way forward would be to pave over the pool and this would detract from what is a lovely feature. Something must be done, and soon!
