 Firstly, we are glad that at last entry has been gained by at least some and congratulate you on your persistance and faith in the project. We cancelled in july and received our deposit back in nov  this consisted of initial deposit + 4% which was to cover legal costs. We have now completed our contract in Gibaltar and returned to GB, however we have a 5000 euro credit from Imperial furniture  for furniture we now do not need. Initially we were due to the cancellation terms from Imperial going to buy several good items and have them shipped home.  However if anyone on the site wishes to offer 4000 euros for the furniture we will come to Imperial with them and arrange change of purchase details. Again all the best to you all for the future and we hope you have many happy times at Duquesa

We drove past Duquesa today, not much activity visible and we suddenly felt so glad that we saw our deposit back in our bank in Gib yesterday, it just feels llke such a weight off our minds yes we`ve lost money but at least we now have a wee bit of knowledge of the Spanish system and we know enough to never buy off plan again. We wish all who are staying the course the best and hope it all works out for the best

Hi, just wondering if anyone can give me some advice.  I am in the process of pulling out from my purchase in Arenal Duquesa, whilst awaiting completion I purchased afurniture package from Imperial, I paid e5,000 deposit.  I contacted Imperial requesting a possible refund and they just replied ,my furniture is waiting ready for me.

Thanks for the info and comments. It appear tht my solcitor from Lawyers of Spain is having difficulty dealing with Gerens but has been able to getdetails of the person in charge of the new duquesa project as follows Soraya Camacho Lopez e mail scamacho@gerens.com t/n0034951295151/618612487 fax 0034957478715. I personally have tried phoning Gerens but this is akin to headbutting a brick wall as 1yrs Spanish classescertainly do not equip you to deal effectively with an office in Cordoba that speaks English on a selective basis.
