There seems to be alot of talk about some purchasers getting compensation for failings by Interlaken but no mention of a precident being set.

Without anyone mentioning their individual case can someone not please just state what type of problem has been successfully resolved by the courts in favour of the purchaser. I dont think anyone would wish to compromise anothers success but at least it would help us to establish what is likely and not likely to succeed.

If an individual wishes to remain anonymous then just create a new unused name.

Surely we are all together on this ???

Having recently visited Casares del Sol I understand from the guy in the Sales office responsible for selling the Casares del Sol Suites in the Aparthotel, that Interlaken have recently become a PLC and are therefore obliged to conform much more stringently to proper forms of practice. The information given was not fully understood but seemed to be linked to part of the sale of Interlaken to another developer.

The result of this may determine a better standard of finish for the rest of the development  (or so one is led to believe) in order to assist potential buyers into Casares del Sol Suites in making a decision.

It would seem these apartments are being offered fully furnished with a rental guarantee of 6% of the purchase price for 2 Years which is obviously done to prevent a reduction in the sale price being given. The normal sales staff seem to completely distance themselves from these sales and claim to know very little about them.

Does anybody know anything about the takeover and whether there is likely to be a benefit to existing owners as a result of this ?

With the continual frustration of Interlaken and their attitude towards customer dissatisfaction I feel purchasers may wish to help publicise this company to other organisations using or proposing to use their contractual services.

The following attachment may be of interest to many unhappy buyers who may wish to furnish their experiences to my contact Wayne Elliott - Commercial Director at Football Village Ltd. This company is involved with Interlaken in the development of  Pueblo Real Golf a site that is advertised to Arsenal Football Club members as offering properties of ' Real Luxury' and 'High Quality' .

It is interesting to note that the company apparently spent 20,000 Euros on due diligence enquiries into Interlaken as a company prior to using their services and one has to ask just where their positive information came from !

Following my correspondence with Wayne he has asked me if I can provide any evidence of peoples actual issues as he seems unaware of all we have had to put up with. Anyone wishing to enlighten him may do so from the following details however please scroll from the bottom upwards :-

A number of purchasers have been concerned about the smaller square metreage of their apartments over that which they contracted to purchase however has anyone actually pursued the position to litigation yet and achieved a result ?

I understand that certain complainants that have had other issues with Interlaken have been offered a degree of compensation on the basis of agreeing to keep their situation confidential so as not to set a precedent for further claims by other residents. If anyone has knowledge of this situation (obviously not the beneficiary!) then perhaps they could let me know please and I will take it up with the appropriate authority.

Keep up the pressure (although I know its a real distraction and aggravation to our everyday lives!)

I cannot help notice that there continues to be many complaints from unhappy buyers about the way they have been treated and the arrogance of the developer. I have personally written to the CEO at Interlaken but have never had the courtesy of a reply. Several verbal reminders have been made via the staff of MLH who sympathise and have promised me that they have chased Anna, the administrator in the Interlaken office but still no response.

May I suggest that all genuinely unhappy buyers deluge the CEO with your complaints in a bid to get some sort of reaction. His full Name and Address are as follows:-
