We have just come back from Calahonda and reviewed the licence situation. We have been advised not to complete the purchase until the habitation licence has been granted. Many people in Spain do go ahead with completion but we are not in a situation where we need to complete but everyone's situation is different. There must be some things which need to be in place on the development before the licence can be granted. Our solicitor said there was an issue with the fire doors opening the wrong way but the developers say that is now rectified. We are very please with what we have seen on the development and hopefully the licence will be issued soon. The town hall have to make sure the building regulations have been followed correctly by law and if there was a problem with the development it would be us that would be left with to deal with it once we had completed
